Ed Wilson joined Tribune Company on Feb. 11, 2008, as President of Tribune Broadcasting.  He oversees the company’s 23 television stations, Superstation WGN, Tribune Entertainment, and WGN Radio. Prior to joining Tribune, Wilson served as President of the Fox Television Network and in executive positions with NBC and CBS. 

Wilson joined Fox in 2004 as President of the Fox Television Network.  He was responsible for supervising all business aspects of the network, including affiliate relations, advertising sales, legal, broadcast standards and Fox Entertainment Group (FEG) integrated marketing operations.  He also worked closely with FEG on business development opportunities for the network.

Wilson served as President of NBC Enterprises, joining in 2000, immediately launching NBC into the domestic syndication business. He was also responsible for the global distribution and exploitation of all product produced by NBC Studios, NBC News and the NBC Television Stations Group. This included ancillary product (home video), merchandising and licensing, music and publishing. While at NBC, Mr. Wilson supervised or launched the domestic and/or international sales of "Will & Grace," "Crossing Jordan," "Access Hollywood" and "The Chris Matthews Show."

Before NBCE, Mr. Wilson was President and CEO of CBS Enterprises and Eyemark Entertainment, where he was responsible for global distribution of CBS Studios, CBS News and the CBS Stations product, including "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Touched By An Angel" and "Martha Stewart Living."

In the fall of 1994 Mr. Wilson founded MaXaM Entertainment in partnership with A.H. Belo Corporation.  The company was sold in January 1996 to CBS, and Mr. Wilson and his team formed Eyemark Entertainment and took management control of CBS Enterprises. Prior to MaXaM, Mr. Wilson was a senior executive with Columbia TriStar Television Distribution and held increasingly responsible positions with Paramount and Viacom.  He also served as Sales Manager with KATV, the ABC affiliate in Little Rock, AR.  He began his television career in 1980 as a sales trainee for Viacom in New York.

Mr. Wilson chairs the accreditation for Southern Methodist University’s School of Journalism. He is a national board member of the United Service Organization (USO), ThinkLA and The Alliance for Children’s Rights.

Mr. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Arkansas. He and his wife have two children, a daughter studying at Boston College, and a son who attends Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
